What is Citrix? Citrix allows you remote access to the BGC network and applications from off-site. On top of providing you with a Windows Desktop environment in which you can access BGC domain resources (such as your U and G drive), it also provides the following list of applications that you can access directly: Excel, Word, Raisers Edge, Acrobat X Pro, FileMaker Pro, PowerPoint, FireFox and Windows Explorer (to browse files to the G and U drive). In order to access BGC's Citrix environment, you must install Citrix Receiver. Receiver is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. To download Citrix Receiver, click on the link below: To Log into Citrix (after ensuring that you have installed Citrix Receiver): • Open Citrix Receiver. • When prompted to enter your work email or server address, enter citrix.bgc.bard.edu.

Citrix warns that Windows 10's Edge browser borks Receiver. In the form of the routine required to add Citrix Receiver's site to Edge's list of trusted sites. Or you could opt to use Receiver.

• After that, log in with your username (preceded by BGC ) and your BGC password. • When you get to the main Citrix Receiver screen, you need to choose which apps you want to use. To do this, you can: • Search for the name of you application using the search box in the upper right hand corner. • Add your applications manually by clicking the + sign to the left, expanding the All Applications menu, and selecting what you want to run. • Once an app appears in the main screen, all you need to do is double-click it to run it.
