Click to participate the survey. I had the same problem installing VS Community 2013 with Update 4 on a Windows 7 Home Premium system. I solved it by cancelling the installation (which also hung, so I had to go to Task Manager and kill it there), then going to Control Panel: Programs and seeing that it was listed there even though the installation had hung. I clicked on Change and it brought up a box with options to Repair or Uninstall. Rather than try to Repair it immediately, I looked for the exe for this program, vs_community.exe and ran it as an Administrator.

(Once you find vs_community.exe, right click on it and select the 'run as Administrator' option). That did it for me. To find vs_community.exe, I just searched my C: drive in Windows Explorer. It was under c: ProgramData Package Cache blah.blah.blah) Hope that helps some of you!
