Reinstall Google Chrome For Mac
Google Chrome version: 13.0.782.220 Chrome was working fine right before. When I went to open it again on my Macbook Pro after restarting the computer, it won't even load or go to the dock. When I click the Chrome icon it does nothing, it 'moves' to let you know you just performed an action like normally but it doesn't go to the dock and load. I have a ton of bookmarks for biz and other stuff that are very important. How do I fix this and not lose all my stuff?
Google calendar for macbook pro. I never heard of 'chrome sync' that somebody mentioned to me til now and I've been using Chrome for years. I can't seem to find any help with this on a Mac. When I access the Chrome folder, I see a 'bookmarks' and 'bookmarks.bak' file. Can I just copy that elsewhere, reinstall, then move those files back? Or can I just reinstall Chrome and it won't lose my bookmarks? I've seen people say that will work, and others say it will delete them???
Please help asap, I've been at a standstill all day in biz as I can't access my bookmarks:( Stefan vd 9/9/2011, 10:45 น. Backup which file? When I click the bookmarks.bak file it says theres no application to open it, when I click just the bookmarks file it opens in TextEdit and seems to have all the bookmarks there. But that ref 1 says just to copy over the.bak file to the new profile?
Should I just copy both to somewhere on the computer to be safe (like will i be able to just move them over to that folder after)? I just want to make sure whether a new profile or reinstall I don't lose the BM's or I'll be pretty screwed, talkin hundreds and hundreds of BM's. Stefan vd 9/9/2011, 11:02 น.
