This is my 2nd ever reddit post so sorry for formatting. I currently have a mac (I know, PC master race blah blah blah) and I use the keyboard that comes with it. I've been gaming on it for about 3 years now, and mainly play FPS games like CS:GO. My friend at school is getting rid of his Blackwidow Tournament Edition Chroma and was wondering if I wanted to buy it off him. He isn't much of a gamer, so he has barely used the keyboard. He says he will sell it for $80, but I know I could get it down to at least $70. I was wondering if this deal is worth it based off the fact that I have a Mac.

Are Razer keyboards (and chroma effects) fully compatible with Macs? Also, I'm in High School and don't have a job, so $70-$80 would clean out my wallet for a while. Short story time. I had a crazy ex gf that got pissed at me and dumped about 32 ounces of mountain dew directly into the keyboard. The motherboard inside was soaked, I unplugged it and it dried into a sticky mess. Fast forward to 6 months later, I find it in the closet and do some research, people said they had fully submerged their keyboard in water and let it dry for a few weeks to get the sticky mess out.

So I tried it and it worked. I got most of the keys unstuck the first time. I did it again to get all of them unstuck and I'm still using it to this day. TLDR: they are amazing keyboards that last forever. I have the Razer BlackWidow Chroma, Mamba TE mouse and ManO'War wireless keyboard.

I used them predominantly on my mid-2012 MacBook Pro for ages (about a year and a half). The BlackWidow is the 'PC' version and the Windows key works the same as hitting the apple or command key on a Mac. The key position is different so it take a little while to get used to but I didn't mind. I used to boot my Mac using BootCamp into Win10 to play Path of Exile all the time.
