Can You Track A Mortgage In Quicken For Mac
Now, a good consumer SSD such as Crucial's M4, Samsung's 830, Vertex many drives, Sandisk new ones and Intel's 530 read speeds lie around the 500 MB/s mark (write speeds vary depending on drive capacity, but are generally slower than read speeds) and so, the USB3 port is NOT a bottleneck in this specific case. If you get a good USB3 enclosure and a good SSD, you're good to go. External ssd for mac usb 3.0 vs. internal drive.

I've been tracking my mortgage for a long time. When I upgraded to Quicken 2015 two years ago, I discovered that they had 'improved' mortgage tracking so that it no longer tracked P&I based on the payments, and lost the ability to track escrow payments. Rather, I think it tries to calculate the I automatically, and applies the escrow payments to the principle. This doesn't really work, and I find I am often entering balance adjustments in order to correct the balance. Basically, it's now a mess. Neither do they do a particularly good job any more of tracking lines of credit.
Does anyone know if either of these have really been fixed in Quicken 2017? I certainly won't buy the upgrade if it hasn't.
